About Me

Education and Performance:

Current Resident of Jackson Hole, Wyoming since 1997. I have been playing the violin for over 30 years. B.S. from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.  Performed with and past member of JMU Symphony Orchestra, Idaho Falls Orchestra. Currently with: the JH Symphony Orchestra, Snake River Strings Founder and Violinist for 15 years. Studied with James McEnderfer of JMU, Rex Britton-1st chair, 2nd Violin Richmond Symphony Orchestra (7+years), Summer studies with Rebecca Johnson, Julliard Graduate, NJ Symphony Orchestra. Currently performing with her quartet, SNAKE RIVER STRINGS, small chamber groups and solo.

Suzuki Program:

I am currently taking students from pre-twinkle through Book 8. I am one of two CERTIFIED teachers in the state of Wyoming which means that I have auditioned, passed and been approved by the SAA or Suzuki Association of the Americas. I have attended the Colorado Suzuki Institute for the past 9 years for Continuing Professional Education and been Certified in Every Child Can, Book I, Book II, and Book III, IV, Suzuki Principles in Action Course or (SPA) studies courses. I completed Book I again with Master teacher, Charles Krigbaum in June 2017. I attend the IMTEX International Teachers Exchange Convention every Fall in Germany working with Charles Krigbaum & Kerstin Wartberg.

I recently completed a week study for Teachers at Indiana University working with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner IU Faculty(June 2019). I also completed a weeklong Fiddle camp working with Rocky Mountain Fiddler Camp to bring a variety of additional music to my group classes. (Aug 2019). I teach private lessons and group lessons in conjunction. We have recitals twice per year to showcase my students achievements. I also hold guest workshops to host nationally renowned Suzuki instructors to come and teach my students, parents and myself.
